Some new things going on

So, I said I was going to let everyone know the appointment with oral surgeon went and I didn't because I decided to write about my bad day instead. So, I'm back to myself and Tanner's doing fine. The oral surgeon said Tanner will grow into the rigid gums. He said it's just some extra tissue. Nothing to worry about. He also said the 2 extra frenums that Tanner has are nothing to worry about RIGHT NOW but to keep an eye on them and check in with a pediatric dentist once his teeth REALLY start coming in.
Tanner still isn't back to eating all that great. He was on a roll taking 6 ounces every four hours for awhile. Since his seizure last Tuesday it just hasn't been the same. I've noticed that he cries a lot during his bottles and arches his back. If I lay him down he really cries hard like he's in pain. It kind of seemed to me he was having reflux even though he's been on Zantac for months for reflux. I called Dr. Kathryn to see if maybe the Keppra could be causing more reflux than before. She didn't think that it was the Keppra but maybe since he's a little bigger now he may just need a larger dose of Zantac. So, we're gonna give the larger dosage a shot and see how it goes.
I've also been having a hard time getting Tanner to eat baby food. He somewhat likes sweet potatoes but it's not consistant. Our friend Hannah mentioned that her little girl Riley (who also has WHS) loves avacado. Silly me asked where she bought it because I had never seem baby avacado. She informed me that she buys the avacado and purees it herself, freezes it in ice cube trays, and thaws when needed. WOW! That seemed like a lot of time that I don't have. But avacado is high in calories and may help Tanner gain some weight. So, I got a baby food processor, some avacado, and went to work. WHAT A MESS!!!! I'm not good at it at all. But let me tell you......TANNER LOVES IT!!!! THANK YOU HANNAH! It's the only food he doesn't spit out. He had 2 ounces today and 2 ounces yesterday. Here is today.
In other news, our other boys have been doing some funny things. Carter always plays at the dining room table with his cars. It keeps him busy when I'm feeding Tanner. Today he walked in from the dining room missing his pants and DIAPER! I was fearful that he took it off because it was "dirty" but to my suprise it was not. He just wanted it off I guess.
Tyler is really into Wii right now and is quite good at it. When he plays Carter likes to stand beside him with a remote and play too (or so he thinks he's playing.) It's funny to watch. Here's a picture of the action. This is in what's left of our "grown up" space in the basement by the way.
That's all for today, I think. Hope everyone has a good weekend. Next Weekend is our BIG event. Tee It Up For Tanner. We're really excited and looking ofrward to seeing everyone. Thanks to everybody for your support.

Jess, I am so glad that Tanner likes avocado. I have been meaning to try that for Norrah too! Also - I think you are right about the reflux. Norrah's seemed to progress over the first 7 months of her life until we got her on the right mix of meds (Zantac plus Prevacid). The combination of the two really worked for us and now she has been throwing up at least once a day... my guess is because we have to up her dosage of the Zantac. These kids... keep us on our toes. Hope the zantac helps.
